The Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery Residency Program at UMass Chan Medical School is a 5-year ACGME-approved residency designed to provide comprehensive clinical and surgical training in otolaryngology. Residents gain experience in head and neck cancer surgery, endocrine surgery, transoral robotic and laser surgery, reconstructive and free-flap surgery, pediatric otolaryngology, complex airway management, neurotology and skull-base surgery, laryngology, sleep surgery, rhinology and endoscopic skull-base surgery. Training is primarily conducted at UMass Memorial Medical Center, with additional rotations at Boston Children’s Hospital, including three months each during PGY-2 and PGY-3.
