Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Residency Program

The Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery (OHNS) Residency Training Program at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is an ACGME-accredited residency program with a duration of 5 years (Clinical Track) or 6 years (Research Track including dedicated research training). The program provides comprehensive training in the medical and surgical management of disorders involving the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. Residents receive extensive clinical and operative experience across major subspecialties including head and neck oncology, otology/neurotology, pediatric otolaryngology, rhinology and skull base surgery, laryngology, facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, and general otolaryngology. The program emphasizes progressive surgical responsibility, multidisciplinary patient care, structured educational activities, research opportunities, and faculty mentorship to prepare graduates for independent practice, fellowship training, and academic careers.
