The Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), Memphis, provides five years of comprehensive training in adult and pediatric orthopaedic surgery. Residents receive progressive clinical and surgical experience in areas such as trauma, sports medicine, hand, foot and ankle, spine, adult reconstruction, pediatric orthopaedics, orthopaedic oncology, and joint replacement. The program also provides opportunities for research, teaching, journal clubs, and continuity of patient care, allowing residents to develop the clinical and surgical skills required for independent orthopaedic practice or further subspecialty training.
