The Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School provides comprehensive training in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal diseases and injuries. Residents train across six major medical institutions and gain experience in trauma, adult reconstruction, pediatric orthopedics, sports medicine, hand, foot and ankle, spine, and musculoskeletal tumors. The program combines hands-on clinical and surgical training with teaching, mentorship, and research, with each resident completing at least one original research project during residency.
