The UAB Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program is a four-year residency that provides comprehensive clinical training in women’s reproductive health and prepares residents for independent practice or fellowship training. The program offers progressive experience in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, urogynecology and reconstructive pelvic surgery, family planning, ultrasound, and minimally invasive surgery. Residents develop clinical and surgical skills through structured rotations, patient care, research opportunities, mentorship, and evidence-based education, with increasing responsibility throughout the four years.
