Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program

1. Applicants must graduate from a qualifying medical school before starting residency training.
2. Graduates of United States or Canadian medical schools must graduate from a medical school accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) or an appropriately accredited osteopathic medical school.
3. International medical graduates must graduate from a medical school listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and meet Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification requirements.
4. Applicants must satisfy the additional eligibility requirements applicable to the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency under the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
5. Applicants must meet Cedars-Sinai's requirements for graduate medical education, including applicable California licensing and credentialing requirements.
6. The program recruits seven residents per year.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a four-year residency providing comprehensive training in women's health, including obstetric care, gynecologic surgery, maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive medicine, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology and family planning. Residents develop progressive clinical and operative skills while managing routine and complex cases in a multidisciplinary academic medical environment. The program also incorporates conferences, teaching, research and exposure to advanced surgical and clinical techniques, preparing residents for independent practice or fellowship training.

1. Submit the residency application through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
2. Provide the required application documents and supporting credentials through ERAS.
3. The program reviews eligible applications and selects candidates for interviews.
4. Applicants selected for consideration participate in the residency interview process.
5. Register and participate in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) for residency selection, as applicable. Cedars-Sinai's general policy states that residency selection is conducted through the NRMP or another organized matching program where possible.
6. Applicants who match with the program complete the required credentialing, California licensing and onboarding requirements before beginning residency.
7. The program then provides four years of structured clinical and academic training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
