Fellowship Program in Breast Imaging

1. Applicants must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or an equivalent medical qualification from a recognized medical school.
2. Applicants must have completed or be scheduled to complete an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME)-accredited or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)-accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency before July 1 of the fellowship year.
3. Applicants must be board-eligible for a Certificate in Diagnostic Radiology.
4. Applicants must meet the requirements for obtaining a medical license in the state of Georgia.
5. International Medical Graduates must be eligible to obtain a Georgia medical license to undertake the fellowship.

The curriculum includes screening and diagnostic mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast magnetic resonance imaging, and image-guided interventional procedures. Fellows gain practical experience in ultrasound-guided biopsy, magnetic resonance imaging-guided biopsy, stereotactic biopsy, preoperative localization, and breast abscess drainage. The program also provides exposure to contrast-enhanced mammography, cryoablation, multidisciplinary breast conferences, medical education, and clinical research.

3. Provide the required personal, educational, and professional information.
4. Submit supporting academic and professional credentials through the application portal.
5. Ensure that the application is submitted within the specified application period.
6. Applications are reviewed by the Emory Breast Imaging Fellowship selection committee.
7. Shortlisted applicants may be contacted for further evaluation and interviews.
8. Participate in the Breast Imaging Fellowship Match conducted through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
9. Selected candidates must complete the required medical licensing, appointment, and joining formalities before the fellowship begins.
