Fellowship in Transplant Hepatology

1. Applicants should be eligible GI fellows who can enter the Transplant Hepatology training pathway.
2. The program is designed for fellows pursuing advanced training in transplant and non-transplant hepatology.
3. Eligible GI fellows may complete their third year of training in Transplant Hepatology through the ABIM-approved three-year pathway.

The one-year Transplant Hepatology Fellowship provides focused training in the care of liver transplant recipients and patients with advanced liver disease. Fellows rotate through inpatient and ambulatory hepatology and transplant surgery services, with additional exposure to diagnostic and interventional radiology, pathology, and transplant infectious diseases. Training also includes continuity clinic, journal club, case and pathology conferences, and participation in liver transplant quality-improvement activities.
