The Transplant Hepatology Fellowship Program is a one-year ACGME-accredited clinical fellowship focused on advanced training in hepatology and liver transplantation. Fellows develop expertise in managing general hepatology patients as well as liver transplant candidates and recipients. Training includes inpatient hepatology, hepatology and transplant hepatology continuity clinics, liver biopsy, participation in the Liver Transplant Selection Committee, liver histopathology and hepatobiliary multidisciplinary conferences, and clinical research. Fellows also gain multidisciplinary experience with transplant surgery, oncology, radiology, pathology, nutrition, interventional radiology, anesthesiology, and transplant nephrology. The program emphasizes research and quality improvement, with opportunities to publish manuscripts and present at national conferences.
