Fellowship in Rheumatology

The Rheumatology Fellowship at UMass Chan Medical School is a two-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing comprehensive training in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases. Fellows receive high-volume ambulatory clinical experience with a diverse patient population, along with training in joint aspiration and injection, musculoskeletal ultrasound, multidisciplinary care, radiology and multiorgan pathology. The program also provides educational conferences, lectures, and diverse research opportunities to prepare fellows for independent rheumatology practice and academic careers.

1. Check the Rheumatology Fellowship eligibility requirements.
2. Submit the required fellowship application through the designated application system.
3. Provide the required academic, residency, examination and recommendation documents.
4. The fellowship selection committee reviews the applications.
5. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview.
6. Candidates participate in the applicable fellowship selection/Match process.
7. Selected candidates complete UMass GME credentialing, Massachusetts licensure and employee-health requirements.
8. Join the 2-year Rheumatology Fellowship according to the program schedule.
