The Fellowship in Pediatric Surgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a two-year ACGME-accredited fellowship designed to prepare surgeons for independent pediatric surgical practice. The program provides high-volume training in neonatal surgery, pediatric general surgery, thoracic surgery, surgical oncology, trauma and acute care surgery, and complex congenital conditions, with strong emphasis on laparoscopic, thoracoscopic, and robotic techniques. Fellows receive progressive operative responsibility, including advanced neonatal and thoracic procedures, trauma leadership, surgical oncology, and minimally invasive surgery. Training also includes rotations in the NICU, PICU, Pediatric Colorectal Surgery, and Pediatric Urology, along with multidisciplinary conferences, research, quality improvement, and academic development.
