The Pediatric Critical Care Fellowship at Nemours Children’s Hospital, Delaware is a rigorous ACGME-accredited training program that equips pediatricians with advanced expertise in caring for critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. The fellowship provides a comprehensive clinical curriculum emphasizing acute and life-threatening disease pathophysiology, advanced resuscitation, ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, trauma care, and multisystem organ support. Fellows develop both clinical leadership and research skills, with structured mentorship and dedicated research time across all three years. The program includes hands-on experience in Delaware’s only pediatric Level I trauma center, interdisciplinary teamwork, and opportunities in quality improvement, simulation training, and scholarly activity ranging from design to publication. Graduates are fully prepared for careers in academic medicine, tertiary care PICUs, and leadership roles in pediatric critical care.
