The Neuro-Infectious Diseases & Autoimmune Neurology Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a one-year clinical fellowship jointly offered by the Department of Neurology and Division of Infectious Diseases. Fellows receive advanced training in the diagnosis and management of neuro-infectious, neuro-inflammatory, and autoimmune neurological disorders, including bacterial, viral, fungal and parasitic meningoencephalitis and myelitis, autoimmune encephalitis, neurosarcoidosis, lupus, MOGAD, and multiple sclerosis. Training includes experience with both immunocompetent and immunocompromised patients, exposure to laboratory diagnostic techniques and microbiology rounds, and an introduction to public-health processes at local, state, and federal levels. The program prepares graduates for academic or private-practice careers in neurology or infectious diseases.
