The Male Genitourinary Reconstruction and Trauma Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine is a 1-year mentored fellowship focused on advanced male genitourinary reconstructive surgery and trauma management. Training includes adult urethral and genital reconstruction, urinary diversion and fistula repair, genital cancer and penile-preservation procedures, pelvic and urethral reconstruction, Peyronie’s disease, erectile dysfunction, and male urinary incontinence. Fellows primarily train at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, where they participate in the trauma team and manage acute urinary and genital injuries. The program also emphasizes clinical research, database-based research, manuscript development, statistical analysis, academic presentation, and leadership development to prepare fellows for careers in academic urology.
