Post Doctoral Certificate Course in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstruction

1. Completion of accredited Obstetrics & Gynecology residency.
2. Eligibility for Oklahoma medical training license.
3. ECFMG certification for international medical graduates (if applicable).
4. Application through ERAS Fellowship Application system.
5. Participation in NRMP Fellowship Match (where applicable).
6. Demonstrated interest in urogynecology, pelvic floor disorders, or reconstructive pelvic surgery.

The Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine is a comprehensive three-year super-specialty training program designed to develop expert urogynecologists and pelvic reconstructive surgeons. Fellows receive advanced training in the diagnosis and management of complex pelvic floor disorders, including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, fistulae, and functional pelvic pain syndromes. The program emphasizes minimally invasive vaginal, laparoscopic, robotic, and open reconstructive surgeries, as well as conservative management techniques such as pelvic floor rehabilitation. Fellows participate in multidisciplinary care involving urology, colorectal surgery, physical therapy, and radiology. Structured research training, clinical trials participation, teaching responsibilities, and academic presentations are integral to the curriculum. Graduates are well prepared for American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) subspecialty certification and careers in academic medicine or advanced tertiary care centers.
