Fellowship in Reconstructive Urology

The Fellowship in Reconstructive Urology at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a two-year clinical and research fellowship focused on comprehensive male and female genitourinary reconstruction. The program provides graduated training in preoperative evaluation, operative management, and postoperative care, with extensive exposure to reconstruction of the urethra, bladder, ureters, and penis. Fellows receive training in open and robotic reconstructive surgery, male incontinence procedures, neurogenic bladder, complex female pelvic medicine, fistula surgery, urinary diversion, and neurourology. The program also provides substantial research opportunities, clinical autonomy, and exposure to approximately 1,000 reconstructive procedures annually.

1. Apply through the Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship Match conducted through the American Urological Association (AUA) and Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons (GURS)
2. Submit the GURS fellowship application through the designated AUA/GURS application process
3. Forward a copy of the GURS application and supporting documents to the Fellowship Coordinator

6. Selected applicants are invited for interviews, typically held in February and March

8. The program accepts one trainee per year into the two-year fellowship
