Completion of an ACGME-approved residency or CPME-approved podiatric residency.

Interest and experience in:

• Limb preservation and limb salvage
• Advanced wound care
• Diabetic foot management
• Lower-extremity reconstruction

The Limb Preservation and Wound Care Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is a 12-month advanced clinical fellowship focused on the comprehensive management of complex lower-extremity wounds, diabetic foot disease, limb-threatening infections, and limb salvage procedures. The program provides multidisciplinary training in wound evaluation, evidence-based wound healing techniques, surgical wound management, complex lower-extremity reconstruction, and strategies to prevent major amputations. Fellows work collaboratively with specialists from vascular surgery, podiatric surgery, orthopedics, plastic surgery, rehabilitation, and wound care teams. The fellowship also incorporates advanced technologies such as Computer-Assisted Gait Analysis (CAGA) to evaluate biomechanics and improve limb preservation outcomes.
