The Epilepsy Fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School is a one-year ACGME-accredited program designed to prepare adult and pediatric neurologists for advanced practice in epileptology. Training includes EEG and video-EEG interpretation, seizure diagnosis and management, epilepsy surgery evaluation, intracranial EEG, and neural stimulation therapies. Fellows participate in adult and pediatric epilepsy clinics, inpatient epilepsy services, daily EEG review, and epilepsy surgery conferences, with elective opportunities in areas such as sleep neurology, neuroradiology, and neurocritical care. The program also offers clinical research opportunities in advanced MRI, EEG signal processing, neuromodulation, pharmacotherapeutics, and cognitive-neurobehavioral diagnostics.
