The Epilepsy Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing advanced training in clinical epilepsy and clinical electrophysiology. Fellows receive comprehensive experience in EEG interpretation, presurgical evaluation using scalp and intracranial electrodes, continuous EEG monitoring in critically ill patients, and the diagnosis and treatment of advanced and refractory epilepsy. Training also includes advanced therapies such as neuromodulation, RNS programming, and epilepsy surgery. Additional exposure is available in sleep medicine, intraoperative monitoring, neuropsychology, research, evoked potentials, and MEG. The program includes 5 months in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, 5 months on the Continuous Video EEG service, 1 month of Pediatric Epilepsy, and 1 elective month. Graduates are prepared for specialty board certification examinations in Epilepsy and EEG.
