The Epilepsy Fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine is an ACGME-accredited advanced training program offered through the Department of Neurology's Division of Epilepsy. The fellowship is based within NYU Langone's internationally recognized Comprehensive Epilepsy Center, a Level 4 Epilepsy Center and one of the largest epilepsy programs in the United States. Fellows receive extensive clinical training in adult and pediatric epilepsy while developing expertise in EEG interpretation, seizure diagnosis, and advanced epilepsy management. The curriculum includes rotations in adult and pediatric epilepsy monitoring units, epilepsy consultation services, intensive care unit EEG monitoring, epilepsy surgery programs, outpatient epilepsy clinics, and neurostimulation clinics. Fellows gain hands-on experience with long-term video EEG monitoring, intracranial EEG interpretation, cortical mapping, Wada testing, responsive neurostimulation, vagus nerve stimulation, and epilepsy surgery evaluations. The program performs more than 150 epilepsy surgical procedures annually, providing exceptional exposure to complex surgical epilepsy cases. Fellows participate in multidisciplinary epilepsy surgery conferences, research projects, journal clubs, didactic lectures, and quality improvement initiatives. Strong collaboration with neurosurgeons, neuroradiologists, neuropsychologists, and neuroscientists prepares graduates for careers in academic epileptology, clinical neurology, epilepsy surgery programs, and advanced neurophysiology practice.
Complete an accredited Neurology or Child Neurology Residency Program.

Submit the fellowship application through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).
Apply through the American Epilepsy Society Fellowship Match conducted via the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP).
Applications are reviewed by the fellowship selection committee.
Selected candidates are invited for interviews with faculty members and program leadership.
Participate in the NRMP Match process and rank fellowship programs.
Matched candidates complete credential verification, licensing requirements, onboarding procedures, and employment formalities before beginning training.
