The Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota is a one-year, ACGME-accredited fellowship providing advanced clinical training in heart failure and cardiac transplantation. Fellows train on the Advanced Congestive Heart Failure and Cardiothoracic Surgery Services, participate in multidisciplinary patient management and research conferences, gain experience with complex heart failure and mechanical circulatory support, and complete a clinical research project. The program also provides teaching opportunities and prepares fellows for UNOS transplant physician certification while meeting the procedural requirements of COCATS 4, Task Force 12.
