Plastic Surgery Residency

The Independent Plastic Surgery Residency Program at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is an advanced plastic surgery training pathway for surgeons who have already completed an eligible surgical residency. The program provides focused training in plastic and reconstructive surgery, preparing residents for independent practice and advanced expertise in the specialty. Eligibility is based on completion of an ACGME- or ADA-accredited prerequisite surgical training program recognized by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Applications are accepted through the San Francisco Match (SF Match), and interviews are conducted by invitation.

2. Select the University of Colorado Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery Residency, Program #4608
3. Submit the required application and supporting documents through the SF Match system
4. Applications are reviewed by the residency program
5. Interviews are by invitation only
6. For the 2026 cycle, the in-person interview was scheduled for February 20, 2026
7. Final placement is conducted through the SF Match process
