Eligibility Criteria

MBBS degree recognized under NMC / relevant regulations.
Completed or due to complete the required rotating internship before cut-off date for admission.
Qualified in NEET PG with required percentile/rank (as per category) to be eligible for counselling for MS seats.
Registered (or to obtain) permanent/ provisional registration certificate with NMC / State Medical Council as per PG admission norms. (As per general MS orthopaedic admission norms)

Minimum Education

CIMS is a government medical college established in 2016, situated in Yadapura village, Chamarajanagar district, Karnataka. The institute spans about 42 acres and is affiliated to RGUHS, under the regulation of NMC.
The MS – Orthopaedics program at CIMS is a 3-year postgraduate course, with a sanctioned intake of 3 seats. The course trains postgraduate doctors in orthopaedic surgery and musculoskeletal medicine: managing trauma (fractures, dislocations), degenerative disorders, joint problems, orthopedic surgeries, pre- and post-operative care, emergency orthopaedic care, and rehabilitation. Given the hospital associated with CIMS is a tertiary-care facility serving a large patient population from district and surrounding rural/tribal areas, trainees are likely to get practical exposure to a diverse range of orthopedic cases — trauma, accidents, fractures, degenerative conditions, etc. This exposure is valuable for clinical and surgical experience.
The tuition fee for the whole 3-year MS Orthopaedics program under government quota is listed as ₹ 3,42,450.
