1. MBBS degree recognised by NMC
2. Completion of 1-year compulsory rotating internship on or before the prescribed cut-off date
3. Qualified NEET-PG examination
4. Permanent/Provisional registration with NMC / State Medical Council
5. Admission through centralised counselling as per applicable State / All-India quota rules

The M.S. Orthopaedics program at Khaja Bandanawaz University, Kalaburagi is a three-year postgraduate surgical residency designed to train competent orthopaedic surgeons with strong clinical judgment, operative skills, and academic knowledge. The curriculum strictly follows NMC postgraduate regulations and provides structured training in trauma management, fracture fixation, joint disorders, spine pathologies, pediatric orthopaedics, arthroplasty, arthroscopy, and rehabilitation medicine. Residents gain extensive hands-on exposure through outpatient services, emergency care, inpatient wards, and operation theatres in a teaching hospital environment. Academic activities such as seminars, case presentations, journal clubs, audits, and dissertation research form an integral part of training.
