MS Obstetric and Gynecology

• Must have an MBBS degree from an NMC-recognised medical college.
• Must have completed the rotating internship.
• Qualify NEET-PG (or the national PG medical entrance exam) and meet the cutoff/rank required for this speciality.
• Fulfill category-based criteria (if any) for seats/quota.

The MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology programme at AFSMRC is a three-year full-time postgraduate degree aimed at producing specialist obstetricians and gynaecologists. The training includes handling antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care, managing high-risk pregnancies, obstetric emergencies, labour & delivery, and surgical procedures in gynaecology. Students are taught both medical and surgical aspects of female reproductive health. Clinical exposure, operative training, and patient management are integrated with academic learning. The programme is designed as per NMC guidelines under Al-Falah University’s affiliation, ensuring compliance with national standards. The institute offers modern facilities, hospital settings for clinical cases, and faculty to mentor trainees to become competent in both routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological care.

1. Complete the MBBS degree and compulsory rotating internship.
2. Appear in the NEET-PG examination.
3. Obtain a rank/score sufficient to be eligible for MS Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
4. Participate in counselling (state / national level) where colleges and courses are allocated based on NEET-PG rank and seats.
5. Select AFSMRC as a preference in the counselling process.
6. If allotted a seat, report to the institute with the required documents (MBBS certificates, internship completion certificate, NEET-PG scorecard, category certificate etc.).
7. Pay the required fees and complete admission formalities.
8. Begin the course as per the academic calendar.
