MS Obstetric and Gynecology

1. MBBS degree recognised by NMC
2. Completion of one-year compulsory rotating internship on or before the prescribed cut-off date
3. Qualified NEET-PG examination
4. Permanent/Provisional registration with NMC / State Medical Council
5. Admission through centralised counselling as per State / All-India quota norms

The M.S. Obstetrics & Gynaecology program at Khaja Bandanawaz University, Kalaburagi is a three-year postgraduate clinical residency designed in accordance with NMC postgraduate medical education regulations. The program provides comprehensive training in normal and high-risk obstetrics, labour management, operative obstetrics, benign and malignant gynaecology, infertility, family planning, and reproductive health. Residents receive extensive hands-on exposure through labour rooms, operation theatres, outpatient and inpatient services, emergency obstetric care, and neonatal coordination. Academic activities include seminars, case presentations, journal clubs, maternal mortality reviews, audits, and mandatory dissertation research. Graduates are well prepared for independent clinical practice, academic careers, super-specialty fellowships, and leadership roles in women’s healthcare services.
