• For National Students: As per NMC Guidelines Must be NEET PG Qualified and allotted through UPDGME Uttar Pradesh Lucknow.
• For International Students: The eligibility criterion for all programs for international applicants is minimum 50% in the qualifying examination and having studied the pre-requisite subjects for admission in to the desired program.

MD in Pathology at Sharda University is a three-year postgraduate degree related to the field of medicine and diagnostics (the study of disease). Pathology is the branch of science which concentrates on the effects, processes, development and causes of diseases. The curriculum includes subjects like Pathology, Microbiology, Immunology, Medical Genetics, and Neuroscience. The programme addresses the central three components of disease – the cause, mechanism of development or origin, results of changes. The branch deals with the research of diagnostic, testing and treatment methods with the help of genetic technologies for patient care and prevention of diseases.

The programme aims to train students to perform high-quality diagnosis in any specified clinical condition using appropriate and proper samples of tissue, blood, body fluid, etc., and recommend treatment options based on the diagnosis. This enables students to pursue clinical and laboratory-based research helping them in research-based studies on terminal diseases. MD Pathology course also encourages students to develop their competence to diagnose necessary pathological conditions in various fields such as histopathology, cytopathology, haematology, and immunopathology.
