1. MBBS qualification recognized by the National Medical Commission
2. Completion of compulsory rotating internship on or before the prescribed cutoff date
3. Valid NEET-PG qualification for the relevant admission year
4. Permanent or provisional medical registration certificate
5. Fulfilment of counselling authority and institutional admission requirements

The MD – Community Medicine programme at Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College and Hospital offers comprehensive postgraduate training in public health, epidemiology, preventive medicine, and health management. Residents gain exposure to community health programs, primary healthcare, disease surveillance, and health education initiatives. Training includes fieldwork, epidemiological studies, biostatistics, and research methodology. 1. Appear for and qualify NEET-PG conducted by the National Board of Examinations
2. Register for postgraduate medical counselling through the designated authority (CENTAC Puducherry / relevant counselling body)
3. Participate in choice filling and locking for MD – Community Medicine
4. Seat allotment based on NEET-PG rank, category, and seat availability
5. Attend document verification with original certificates
6. Pay the prescribed fees to confirm admission
7. Report to the college and complete joining formalities
