MD Community Medicine

Overview

A three-year full-time postgraduate program centered on community and preventive health. The curriculum blends theory (epidemiology, biostatistics, social determinants of health, health systems) and practical training (village health surveys, health camps, immunization drives, environmental health assessments, health program planning). On average, about two community health camps are conducted weekly. The department actively engages in public health outreach programs like World No Tobacco Day, Pulse Polio campaigns, and medicinal plant plantation initiatives.

Eligibility

1. MBBS degree from an NMC-recognized college
2. Completion of the compulsory rotating internship
3. Valid NEET‑PG score (General ≥50th percentile, OBC/SC/ST ≥40th)
4. Permanent registration with a State Medical Council
