MD Community Medicine

SS Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (SSIMSRC), Davangere, offers the M.D. Community Medicine program with a strong focus on public health practice, preventive medicine, and population-based healthcare. The Department of Community Medicine is actively involved in urban and rural health training centers, providing extensive field exposure to postgraduate students. The curriculum follows National Medical Commission guidelines and emphasizes competency-based learning in epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, and national health programs. Postgraduate students participate in community surveys, health education activities, disease surveillance, and program evaluation. Teaching, research methodology, and dissertation work are integral components of the course. Faculty mentorship and interdisciplinary collaboration enhance professional development. 1. MBBS degree recognised by NMC
2. Completion of Compulsory Rotatory Internship
3. Permanent or provisional registration with NMC / State Medical Council
4. Must have qualified for NEET-PG in the relevant admission year
5. Admission through centralised counselling as per government regulations
