Completed 1-year compulsory rotating internship by the admission deadline
Registration with NMC/State Medical Council
Valid NEET-PG score and rank meeting counselling cutoffs for the specific category/quota

Minimum Education

S. Nijalingappa Medical College & H.S.K. Hospital & Research Centre, Bagalkot is a well-established private medical institution founded in 2002, affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Commission. The Department of Community Medicine was formally established in 2001 and began offering the MD Community Medicine program in 2009. The department is integral to the institute’s public health initiatives and houses urban and rural health training centres that serve populations of tens of thousands, providing hands-on community healthcare experience. Academic activities include theory classes, practical fieldwork, community surveys, health education, epidemiological studies, and research projects aligned with competency-based medical education (CBME) guidelines. The program equips students with skills in disease surveillance, preventive strategies, health program design, and evaluation techniques essential for careers in public health practice, epidemiology, academic roles, and leadership in healthcare systems.
Intake: ~6 seats per year in MD Community Medicine.
