AIIMS Bilaspur’s MD Community Medicine is a postgraduate program spanning three years, intended to produce doctors skilled in public health, preventive medicine, and community engagement. The curriculum involves theoretical learning in epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental health, health policy, social determinants of health, as well as practical exposure through field work, community health programs and possibly rotations at primary health centres or similar settings. Students may take part in health camps, public health surveys, disease surveillance, and national programmes aimed at disease prevention and health promotion. The program is competitive, with only 2 seats available in this speciality in AIIMS Bilaspur as per recent data. Graduates are suited for careers in government/public health agencies, NGOs, academia; they can also serve in clinical settings where community health interface is required.

1. Complete MBBS + internship to satisfy undergraduate medical education and registration norms.
2. Monitor INI-CET notification for the relevant session (PG entrance for AIIMS/other INIs).
3. Register for INI-CET, appear and score.
4. Based on INI-CET result/rank, participate in counselling & seat allocation for AIIMS Bilaspur PG courses.
5. If rank meets the cutoff for MD Community Medicine, select that speciality during counselling.
6. Complete document verification, fee payment & fulfil institute-specified formalities.
7. Begin the 3-year MD program as per the IIMS Bilaspur academic calendar.
