Overview

    The MD – Community Medicine programme at Trichy SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Centre is a dedicated three‑year postgraduate degree designed to train physicians in the principles of public health and preventive medicine. Eligibility

    1. Completed MBBS from a medical college recognised by NMC.
    2. Completed or expected to complete the rotating internship before the specified deadline.
    3. Qualified NEET‑PG exam with the required minimum percentile as per category (e.g., ~50th percentile for General category, with relaxations for reserved categories).
    4. Possess a valid MBBS registration certificate (provisional or permanent) from the Medical Council.

Admission Process:

    1. Qualify NEET‑PG: Appear and secure a valid score in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ‑ Postgraduate.
    2. Register for counselling: Through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All‑India Quota and/or the State Counselling Authority for State Quota.
    3. Choice filling: Select MD – Community Medicine at Trichy SRM Medical College as a preferred programme during choice filling in counselling.
    4. Seat allotment: Seats are allotted based on NEET‑PG rank, category, and availability.
