Hematology & Oncology Fellowship

1. Valid Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certificate for international medical graduates.
2. International medical graduates must have completed an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education–accredited Internal Medicine Residency within the last 5 years.
3. J-1 visa only; the program does not accept applicants requiring an H visa.
4. Because of the large number of qualified applicants, only a small number of international medical graduates are granted interviews.

The three-year Hematology & Oncology Fellowship provides comprehensive training in hematology and oncology, preparing fellows for careers as clinical specialists or clinician-scientists. The program offers dedicated research and mentorship opportunities, with resources from the University of Tennessee Cancer Program and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Training covers classical hematology, malignant hematology, and oncology, while fellows participate in patient care, research, and developments in cancer treatment.

2. Fellowship positions are offered through the National Resident Matching Program.
3. Applications must be submitted before the program's stated deadline.
4. Selected applicants are invited for an interview.
5. Interviews are conducted virtually through Zoom, following recommendations from the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American Society of Hematology.
