Fellowship in Surgical Pathology

1. Graduate of an accredited medical school or osteopathic school
2. Must be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Colorado
3. Must be board-eligible or board-certified in Anatomic Pathology (AP) or Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) by the start of the fellowship term

The one-year Surgical Pathology Fellowship provides advanced training in general surgical pathology across all major subspecialties at University of Colorado Hospital, an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center handling approximately 45,000 surgical pathology cases annually. Around 10 months are dedicated to subspecialty surgical pathology and frozen-section rotations, with up to 8 weeks of customizable elective training. Fellows also participate in multidisciplinary conferences, resident and medical student teaching, and scholarly activities.
