The Pediatric Radiology Fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine offers advanced subspecialty training through the Department of Radiology's Division of Pediatric Radiology. The program is designed to prepare radiologists for independent practice in pediatric imaging while developing expertise in diagnosing complex diseases affecting infants, children, and adolescents. Fellows train within Hassenfeld Children's Hospital at NYU Langone, one of New York's premier pediatric healthcare centers, and gain exposure to a diverse spectrum of pediatric pathology. Training encompasses all major imaging modalities, including radiography, fluoroscopy, ultrasonography, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and advanced cross-sectional imaging techniques. The fellowship emphasizes radiation safety and adherence to pediatric imaging best practices, including Image Gently® principles. Fellows participate in multidisciplinary conferences involving pediatric oncology, pediatric surgery, pediatric pulmonology, pediatric nephrology, and pediatric pathology services. The curriculum combines extensive clinical experience with structured didactic education, case conferences, research opportunities, and academic mentorship. Graduates are equipped for careers in academic pediatric radiology, children's hospitals, tertiary-care institutions, and advanced diagnostic imaging practices.
