Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology

1. MD or DO from an accredited medical school
2. Completed an ACGME-accredited Diagnostic Radiology residency
3. Valid USMLE/COMLEX scores (Step I, II, III or equivalent completion)
4. Eligibility for Pennsylvania medical licensure before fellowship start
5. Submission of application materials (CV, personal statement, letters of recommendation)
6. Successful interview and selection by the fellowship committee.

The Pediatric Radiology Fellowship at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children is an ACGME-accredited one-year advanced training program designed to develop expert pediatric radiologists capable of interpreting complex imaging studies and performing image-guided procedures in pediatric patients. Fellows gain hands-on experience with a wide spectrum of imaging modalities — including ultrasound, CT, MRI, fluoroscopy, and nuclear medicine — with emphasis on pediatric-specific protocols, radiation safety, sedation protocols, and multidisciplinary care collaboration. Training includes rotating through dedicated pediatric imaging services, participating in multidisciplinary case conferences, and working closely with pediatric subspecialists (e.g., pediatric surgery, oncology, cardiology, neurology) to provide imaging interpretations that guide clinical care. Fellows also engage in teaching radiology residents and medical students, quality improvement projects, and optional research initiatives under faculty mentorship. Graduates are prepared for careers in academic children’s hospitals, comprehensive pediatric radiology practices, or advanced clinical leadership roles.
