The Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship Program at the University of Minnesota Medical School provides comprehensive clinical and research training in pediatric kidney disorders, with strong emphasis on end-stage renal disease, dialysis, and kidney transplantation. The fellowship includes inpatient and outpatient nephrology training, longitudinal patient care, kidney biopsy training, and exposure to acute and chronic dialysis. Fellows also receive extensive research training in clinical or basic science research, including study design, statistical analysis, data collection, and scientific publication, with opportunities to pursue a Master’s in Clinical Research.
