The Pediatric Nephrology Fellowship at UCSF School of Medicine, San Francisco is a three-year ACGME-accredited training program focused on comprehensive care of children with kidney disorders. Fellows receive clinical training in acute and chronic kidney disease, hypertension, glomerulonephritis, electrolyte and acid-base disorders, dialysis, and kidney transplantation, with rotations in inpatient nephrology, outpatient dialysis, continuity care, pathology, urology, rheumatology, transplant, and dialysis. The program has a strong academic and research focus, with 80% protected time for research and scholarly activity during Years 2 and 3, preparing fellows for careers as pediatric nephrologists, clinical researchers, and academic leaders.
