Fellowship in Ophthalmic Pathology

• MD / DO or equivalent recognized medical degree
• Completion of residency training in Pathology or Ophthalmology is preferred
• Candidates should be board-eligible or board-certified in the relevant specialty (where applicable)
• Strong interest in ophthalmic pathology, histopathology, and ocular disease diagnosis
• Prior experience in pathology laboratories, ocular specimens, or ophthalmology-related research is preferred
• International applicants may require ECFMG certification and USMLE completion depending on the clinical role
• Eligibility for Maryland State Medical License may be required for clinical activities
• Submission of updated CV, personal statement, and letters of recommendation is required
• Research experience in ophthalmology or pathology is advantageous but not mandatory

The Fellowship in Ophthalmic Pathology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (Wilmer Eye Institute) is a specialized 1 to 2-year program focused on the diagnosis and study of diseases affecting the eye and orbit through advanced histopathological and molecular techniques.
