Fellowship in Molecular Genetic Pathology

• MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
• Completion of an accredited pathology residency.
• Board eligible or board certified in Pathology.
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure.

• Successful completion of interviews and credentialing requirements.

The Molecular Genetic Pathology Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine offers intensive training in state-of-the-art molecular diagnostics within a leading academic medical center. Fellows gain hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing, polymerase chain reaction–based assays, cytogenomics, and other advanced genomic technologies used in patient care. The curriculum emphasizes the integration of molecular findings with morphologic and clinical data to support precision medicine. Fellows work closely with specialists in oncology, hematology, genetics, and bioinformatics while participating in multidisciplinary conferences and laboratory management activities. Opportunities for research, teaching, and scholarly publication are incorporated throughout the fellowship year.
