The Head and Neck Oncological and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine offers intensive, high-volume training in the comprehensive care of patients with head and neck cancers. Fellows participate in the full spectrum of oncologic surgery, including transoral robotic surgery, skull base procedures, and advanced microvascular free-flap reconstruction. Training occurs within a multidisciplinary environment that includes medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, and speech-language pathology. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based practice, perioperative management, and long-term functional rehabilitation. Fellows also engage in tumor boards, resident education, and clinical research projects with opportunities for publication and presentation at national meetings. The breadth of surgical experience and close faculty mentorship prepare graduates for leadership roles in academic medicine and specialized oncologic practice.
