Fellowship in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

• Hold an MD, DO, MBBS, or an equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
• Have successfully completed an ACGME-accredited Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery residency (or an equivalent recognized residency program).
• Be eligible to participate in the AAFPRS Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship Match.
• Meet the eligibility requirements of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM).
• Submit a complete fellowship application with all required supporting documents through the AAFPRS application process.

The Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship is a 1-year advanced clinical fellowship offered by the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago. The program provides comprehensive training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, with extensive experience in facial cosmetic procedures, rhinoplasty, facial trauma reconstruction, facial reanimation, scar revision, and head and neck reconstruction. Fellows receive advanced operative training, outpatient clinical experience, and research opportunities under expert faculty mentorship. The fellowship follows the educational standards of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) and prepares graduates for independent practice in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.
