The Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSOM), Baltimore is a 1-year ACGME-accredited clinical fellowship designed to provide advanced training in the assessment and treatment of psychiatric disorders in older adults. The program offers comprehensive clinical exposure through rotations in inpatient geriatric psychiatry, long-term care, consultation-liaison psychiatry, palliative care, memory clinics, and outpatient geriatric psychiatry services. Fellows receive training in managing conditions such as dementia, cognitive disorders, mood disorders, and neuropsychiatric symptoms, along with opportunities for research, teaching, mentorship, and scholarly activities. The fellowship prepares trainees for ABPN subspecialty board certification in Geriatric Psychiatry and careers in academic or clinical practice.
