Fellowship in Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology

1. Completion of a four-year Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) residency program.
2. Applicants who have completed a three-year Anatomic Pathology (AP) residency program are also eligible.
3. Successful completion of USMLE Step III or the National Board Examination.

The GI & Liver Pathology Fellowship at UMass Chan Medical School is a one-year ACGME-accredited fellowship providing comprehensive subspecialty training in gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreaticobiliary pathology. The program includes independent sign-out of GI/liver cases, transplant liver biopsies, pediatric GI cases, frozen sections, multidisciplinary tumor conferences, resident teaching, and opportunities for translational research. The fellowship is designed to prepare trainees for independent pathology practice.
