Fellowship in Emergency Ultrasound

1. Must be residency-trained in Emergency Medicine.
2. Physicians who have completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship may apply to the separate pediatric track.
3. Must meet the requirements for fellowship appointment and clinical practice at UMass Chan/UMass Memorial.

The Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship is a one-year program focused on advanced point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) training for Emergency Medicine physicians. Fellows gain extensive hands-on experience across cardiac, pulmonary, abdominal, vascular, musculoskeletal, OB/GYN, pediatric, critical care, and procedural ultrasound. The program also emphasizes ultrasound education, image quality assurance, research, curriculum development, and leadership, preparing fellows to develop and lead emergency ultrasound programs.
