The Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at the University of Illinois College of Medicine (UICOM), Chicago is a 1-year postgraduate fellowship program designed to train physicians as leaders in Emergency Ultrasound (EUS) and Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) education, clinical practice, research, and program administration. The fellowship combines didactic education, quality assurance training, academic mentorship, clinical research, and extensive hands-on ultrasound experience. Fellows receive advanced training in core emergency ultrasound applications, bedside scanning, ultrasound image review, curriculum development, hospital credentialing, billing processes, and teaching ultrasound skills to medical students, residents, and physicians. The program also provides opportunities to participate in ultrasound research projects, develop educational materials, and prepare for leadership roles as ultrasound directors or emergency medicine educators
