Fellowship in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry

The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine is an ACGME-accredited fellowship designed for psychiatrists seeking advanced training in psychosomatic medicine and integrated healthcare. Fellows train at University of Colorado Hospital and Denver Health Medical Center, gaining experience in inpatient consultation-liaison psychiatry, integrated and collaborative care, eConsults, and outpatient consultation services. The program also provides exposure to specialized areas including transplant psychiatry, addiction, palliative care, reproductive and perinatal psychiatry, functional neurological disorders, movement disorders, eating disorders, and rehabilitation psychiatry. Fellows develop clinical expertise, medical education and leadership skills, with opportunities to tailor electives toward individual career goals.

2. Apply specifically for the PGY-5 Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship
3. Submit the required application and supporting documents through ERAS
4. The Fellow Selection Committee reviews eligible applications based on clinical preparedness, experience, academic credentials, communication and interpersonal skills, motivation, integrity, and work ethic
5. Selected applicants are invited for a virtual interview with program faculty and current fellows
6. Applicants are encouraged to interview with faculty whose clinical/research interests align with their career goals
7. For the 2027–2028 academic year, completed applications must be received by September 30, 2026
8. Interviews are scheduled from September 1 through November 13, 2026
9. Applicants who are formally accepted must initiate the Colorado medical licensing process and obtain the required license before beginning the fellowship
