The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at NYU Grossman School of Medicine is an ACGME-accredited advanced training program that prepares psychiatrists to provide specialized psychiatric care to medically and surgically ill patients. The fellowship offers extensive clinical experience across multiple hospital settings, including NYU Langone Tisch Hospital, Kimmel Pavilion, and NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. Fellows work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams caring for patients in oncology, transplant medicine, cardiology, neurology, neurosurgery, intensive care, emergency medicine, infectious diseases, rehabilitation medicine, and palliative care. The curriculum focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of psychiatric symptoms occurring in medically complex patients, including delirium, depression, anxiety, neurocognitive disorders, substance-related disorders, and behavioral complications of medical illness. Fellows receive advanced training in psychopharmacology, psychotherapy, ethics, capacity evaluations, integrated care models, and collaborative treatment planning. The program incorporates structured didactics, journal clubs, case conferences, grand rounds, and scholarly activities.
