Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology

The Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, Brooklyn is a one-year advanced fellowship program designed to provide specialized training in the evaluation and diagnosis of neurological disorders using neurophysiological techniques. The program provides comprehensive exposure to electroencephalography (EEG), long-term video EEG monitoring, epilepsy evaluation, electromyography (EMG), nerve conduction studies, evoked potentials, intraoperative monitoring, and other neurodiagnostic procedures. Fellows receive hands-on clinical experience through inpatient and outpatient services, epilepsy monitoring units, neuromuscular clinics, and neurophysiology laboratories. The fellowship emphasizes accurate interpretation of neurophysiological studies, clinical decision-making, research activities, and academic development, preparing graduates for advanced practice in Clinical Neurophysiology and Neurology subspecialty care.

7. Final rank list is prepared and submitted through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP)
8. Selected fellows begin the one-year Clinical Neurophysiology Fellowship training
